Natural Hoof Care
Trims: $50The first trim will be a set-up trim to suggest the shape we would like the hoof to grow towards. If we take shoes off we will leave a little more hoof wall then we normally would so that the sole, frog and bars can get used to being in touch with the ground. I might recommend turn out boots or castings for horses that are thin soled or that have had shoes all their lives for a transition time.
The follow up trims should be scheduled every four to five weeks and will maintain or grow a healthy hoof. You will see changes within days but please keep in mind that it will take the hoof a few months to a year to grow a completely new hoof capsule.
Boot fitting:
I don't charge for fitting the boots, you just pay the price of the boot recommended by the dealer.

Seriously contracted heels -
unhealthy frog - false sole -
you don't want that!

Great frog - great concavity - this is a hardy hoof -
